Tips for a Healthy Ramadan

  • Stay hydrated. Don’t chug water at Suhoor, your body will just get rid of the excess. Instead hydrate at regular intervals throughout the night. Set an alarm if you have to.
  • Eating protein and fat at Suhoor will keep you full for longer. Eggs, avocado, nut butters, chia puddings, coconut-based shakes are all good choices. Paleo eating is made for Suhoor!
  • Eat fruit and veg with a high water content such as watermelon, oranges, cucumber and tomato.
  • Have healthy treats prepared so you stay away from that kanafeh/kunefe/knafeh/kunafeh/kenafeh…stocking up on SSP treats is super smart.

Did I mention getting one of our meal plans?
